Breguet is one of the oldest and most prestigious watchmakers. They have been in business since 1775. (Depuis 1775, as they say in their advertisments.)
Breguet capitalizes on that longevity by featuring mentions of their watches, in history and novels, in their advertisments. For example:

ever vigilant, reminds him it is midday."
